Donations

Here’s how you can help:

  • We have added what they need to our Amazon Wish List to make your shopping quick and easy! Make your purchase in one click and they will be shipped directly to the area.  Hint: the address for Rusko Electric should show up in your address options when shopping from the wish list. If not, use the address shown below.
  • Contact Sheleah P Masi, President, of Lace It Up Kauai to send donations that she can use to order boots to be delivered. She has already donated 250 from her own resources plus another 250 from her clients. She is donating one pair of boots for each pair of boots purchased through her store.
  • We are looking for additional sponsors!
  • We are looking for a bank who would collect donations that could be used to purchase items that are needed.
  • We are looking for shoe companies who would be willing to help with getting boots to the area.

Needs are urgent! If you want to help, please be in touch.

What’s Happening in Kauai

Due to the recent flooding, children, women, and men are reporting medical problems, including skin rashes from coming into contact with dirty water.

The rain is subsiding on flood-devastated Kauai, but recovery efforts continue and officials warn it could take weeks just to reopen major roadways. Meanwhile, on Oahu, the city is opening disaster recovery centers for flood victims.

Aloha!

The beautiful garden island of Kauai needs your rubber boots! We must get boots on every person size 0 to big strapping men to guard against the infectious water many are wadding in for hours at a time. All the stores are out of stock on island and we need your help.

We must get boots on every person in all affected flood zones including small children, volunteers, and workmen. Our greatest concern currently is an infection. We must get boots on every single person in order to avoid this. We are in desperate need of waders, heavy duty waterproof rubber boots, and children’s rubber boots. The ground in various areas is saturated and rubber boots should be worn by every person including young children. There is still standing water in many areas both in the south and north parts of the island. The volunteers and residents in these areas are at high risk.

If anyone can purchase online and have boots of all sizes toddler to large men shipped to:

Our project manager, Tracy Medeiros lives in Kauai. When she expressed the issues they are having there due to the flooding, we, of course, wanted to help! Initially, we wanted to do a boot drive, but the cost of mailing boots was not possible. So, we decided to instead provide faster and easier ways for you to help. If you have questions about how you can help, please use the links above. That is what they need. If you have other questions, please click the link and let us know!
